Endometrial cancer (EC) is a worldwide gynecologic malignancies, with a remarking increase of incidence and mortality rates in recent years. Growing evidence indicates that glucose metabolism reprogramming is the most representative metabolic signature of tumor cells and exploring its modulatory function in EC development will promote identifying potential EC therapeutic targets. IGFBP2 is an insulin-like growth factor binding protein which is closely associated with a variety of metabolic diseases.

Reprogramming of fibroblasts into cancer-associated fibroblasts via IGF2-mediated autophagy promotes metastasis of lung cancer cells.

Cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs) are major component of stromal cells. Growing evidence suggests that CAFs promote tumor growth and metastasis; however, the reprogramming of normal fibroblasts (NFs) into CAFs by tumor cells still remains largely unknown. In this study, we found that non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) cells activated NFs into CAFs via autophagy induction.

Electronic address:

For commercial laying hens, the continuous high-intensity ovulation process leads to a significant accumulation of reactive oxygen species (ROS) in the granulosa cells, inducing oxidative stress, which accelerates ovarian aging and shortens the peak laying period. The molecular mechanisms underlying this process remain poorly understood. Therefore, we modeled the processes of oxidative stress and antioxidant in chicken granulosa cells.

Article Synopsis
  • Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a complex neurobehavioral condition influenced by various genetic and environmental factors, leading to disruptions in behavior and emotions.
  • A review of existing studies utilized databases like Google Scholar and PubMed to investigate the role of neural, anatomical, and chemical factors in ASD development, focusing particularly on hormones such as melatonin, serotonin, and IGF-1.
  • The review aims to explore the association between these hormones and ASD, evaluating their potential as therapeutic solutions to alleviate ASD symptoms.

Paracrine role of endothelial IGF-1 receptor in depot-specific adipose tissue adaptation in male mice.

Nat Commun

Leeds Institute of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Health, University of Leeds, Leeds, UK.

During recent decades, changes in lifestyle have led to widespread nutritional obesity and its related complications. Remodelling adipose tissue as a therapeutic goal for obesity and its complications has attracted much attention and continues to be actively explored. The endothelium lines all blood vessels and is close to all cells, including adipocytes.
