A gas-chromatographic method for urinary steroid measurements by Chrome-5 (Prague) chromatograph with plasma ionization detector is suggested. Glass column 1.5 m long is packed with N-AW chromatone impregnated with 15% SE-30. Detector and evaporator temperature is 260 degrees C. Column temperature is programmed from 200 to 250 degrees C. Quantitative and qualitative analysis of chromatograms in 40 patients and 30 controls permitted assessment of excretion of 17-ketosteroids, hydroxyandrosterone, etiocholanolone, androsterone, dihydroepiandrosterone, beta-cortol compounds, etc., which is important in studies of psoriasis pathogenesis and in assessment of the efficacy of treatment of this and other diseases.

The objective of this study is to develop an HPLC-UV method for the cost-effective and quantitative determination of vitamin D3 in food, even in the presence of vitamin D2, with a specific focus on egg yolk. During method development, the performance of three stationary phases in resolving the peak of vitamin D2 from that of vitamin D3 was investigated. The physicochemical properties of these phases differed particularly in the extent of hydrophobicity and silanophilic activity, including a GraceSmart RP C18 column without silanol endcapping, a Robusta RP C18 column with silanol endcapping, and a Waters Xbridge RP C18 column with ethylene-bridged hybrid (BEH) particle technology.

Aim And Objective: Magnoliae Flos (Chinese name: Xin-Yi) and Xanthii Fructus (Chinese name: Cang-Er-Zi) are Chinese herbal medicines and have been used to treat allergic rhinitis (AR). However, the therapeutic effect, active ingredients, and probable processes of a compound of Magnoliae Flos and Xanthii Fructus in the form of essential oils (CMFXFEO) in treating AR have not been reported. This study aims to determine the efficacy of the CMFXFEO on ovalbumin (OVA)-induced AR in a rat model and to use network pharmacology and molecular docking to reveal the hub genes, biological functions, and signaling pathways of CMFXFEO against AR.

Fentanyl and its derivatives (nonpharmaceutical fentanyl, NPFs) represent the largest group among synthetic opioids. Fentanyl-related deaths and fatalities from tampering with pharmaceutical products have been reported. Furthermore, in the United States, adulterants such as xylazine and other substances, including the nitazenes class of opioids, have been found in an increasing number of unintentional overdose deaths, drug seizures, and reports of use by recreational drug users.

The 2019 coronavirus outbreak has prompted scientists to investigate pharmaceuticals to prevent the spread of the disease. Favipiravir (FAV) has received Food and Drug Administration FDA approval for the treatment of various viral infections with notable efficacy in clinical trials for COVID-19. Nitazoxanide (NTZ) is a broad-spectrum antiparasitic and antiviral agent used for the treatment of parasitic illnesses.

Background: The Bicycle® toxin conjugate (BTC) zelenectide pevedotin, formerly known as BT8009, is a novel bicyclic peptide targeting the Nectin-4 tumor antigen conjugated to the cytotoxin monomethyl auristatin E (MMAE) via a valine-citrulline cleavable linker. Zelenectide pevedotin is currently being investigated in a Phase 1/2 (Duravelo-1, NCT04561362) clinical trial to determine safety and efficacy in patients with tumors associated with Nectin-4 expression. A simple regulated bioanalytical assay was developed to quantify intact zelenectide pevedotin in patient plasma samples.
