Liver-expressed antimicrobial peptide 2 (LEAP2) has recently emerged as a novel hormone that reduces food intake and glycemia by acting through the growth hormone secretagogue receptor (GHSR), also known as the ghrelin receptor. This discovery has led to a fundamental reconceptualization of GHSR's functional dynamics, now understood to be under a dual and opposing regulation. LEAP2 exhibits several distinctive features.

Jasmonate (JA), a key plant hormone, regulates various aspects of plant development and stress responses, primarily through the degradation of canonical jasmonate-ZIM domain (JAZ) proteins by the SCF complex. While JAZ8, a non-canonical JAZ protein lacking the degron signal, has been shown to repress JA responses, the mechanism by which JA inhibits JAZ8 activity remains unclear. Here, we demonstrate that Arabidopsis ethylene response factor 114 (ERF114), ERF115, and ERF109 regulate JA signaling through interacting with JAZ8.

Background: Early menarche is associated with both physical and psychosocial problems. Based on psychological and physical health considerations, for girls with early menarche, some parents and physicians may elect to use gonadotropin-releasing hormone agonists (GnRHa) to delay menstruation. This study aimed to explore the effects of GnRHa treatment on the final height of girls with early menarche and build the models to predict the final adult height (FAH).

Introduction: Exercise is vital in preventing and treating obesity. Despite its importance, the understanding of how exercise influences childhood obesity at the biochemical level is limited. In this study, we explore the effects of a 16-week exercise program (EP) on body composition, physical fitness, and the blood levels of hormones related to obesity.
