  • The article outlines the diagnostic methods and management for this unique case while reviewing existing literature on the topic.

Article Abstract

Agenesis of the corpus callosum is a rare condition, often associated with craniofacial, skeletal and genitourinary abnormalities. We report on a male newborn in whom all of these organ systems were affected. The genitourinary anomaly consisted of vaso-ureteral fusion accompanied by renal, ureteral, vesical, ductal and genital malformations. The diagnostic approach and management of this unusual case are described and the literature is reviewed.

Background: Normative models (NM) of brain metrics based on large, diverse populations offer novel strategies to detect individual brain abnormalities. To create an age-dependent statistical model of brain microstructure over the human lifespan, we built the largest multi-site NM of white matter (WM) diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) metrics based on 54,591 subjects. We used state-of-the-art tools to adjust for site-dependent effects.

Background: Parkinson's disease is an hypokinetic disorder characterized by selective loss of dopaminergic in substantia nigra pars compacta (SNPc) region of mid-brain. Dopaminergic degeneration of neurons is considered to be due to oxidative stress, neuroinflammation, neurons mitochondrial dysfunction and glutamate excitotoxicity etc. Filgrastim has been reported to produce anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory and neuromodulatory actions in previous studies.

Attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is defined as a neurodevelopmental condition. The precise underlying mechanisms remain incompletely elucidated. A body of research suggests disruptions in both the cellular architecture and neuronal function within the brain regions of individuals with ADHD, coupled with disturbances in the biochemical parameters.
