The development of an efficient and durable photoelectrode is critical for achieving large-scale applications in photoelectrochemical water splitting. Here, we report a unique photoelectrode composed of reconfigured gallium nitride nanowire-on-silicon wafer loaded with Au nanoparticles as cocatalyst that achieved an impressive applied bias photon-to-current efficiency of 10.36% under AM 1.

The subcellular localization of long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) is crucial for understanding the function of lncRNAs. Since the traditional biological experimental methods are time-consuming and some existing computational methods rely on high computing power, we are committed to finding a simple and easy-to-implement method to achieve more efficient prediction of the subcellular localization of lncRNAs. In this work, we proposed a model based on multi-source features and two-stage voting strategy for predicting the subcellular localization of lncRNAs (MVSLLnc).

Precise cerebrovascular segmentation in Time-of-Flight Magnetic Resonance Angiography (TOF-MRA) data is crucial for computer-aided clinical diagnosis. The sparse distribution of cerebrovascular structures within TOF-MRA images often results in high costs for manual data labeling. Leveraging unlabeled TOF-MRA data can significantly enhance model performance.

The design and development of advanced surgical sutures with appropriate structure and abundant bio-functions are urgently required for the chronic wound closure and treatment. In this study, an integrated technique routine combining modified electrospinning with hot stretching process was proposed and implemented to fabricate poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA) nanofiber sutures, and the Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge-Radix Puerariae herbal compound (SRHC) was encapsulated into PLLA nanofibers during the electrospinning process to enrich the biofunction of as-generated sutures. All the PLLA sutures loading without or with SRHC were found to exhibit bead-free and highly-aligned nanofiber structure.

3D printing technology, also known as Additive Manufacturing (AM), has revolutionized object prototyping, offering a simple, cost-effective, and efficient approach to creating structures with diverse spatial features. However, the mechanical properties of 3D-printed structures are highly dependent on the material type and manufacturing technique employed. In this study, ultrasonic testing methods were used to comprehensively characterize standard samples produced using two popular printing techniques: material extrusion and vat photopolymerization.
