Children are sensitive to other's knowledge and social characteristics when seeking out information, but little is known about how adults' gender and race interact to influence children's beliefs about adults' knowledge. In two studies, 5-8-year-olds ( = 257; 127 girls; 130 boys; 73% White) saw photos of Black and White men and women and rated each adults' science knowledge. In Study 1, children then viewed four adult faces together (one from each gender and race) and chose who knew the most and second-most about the answer to a scientific question.

Background: The pathogenic and oncogenic roles of papillomavirus (HPV) infections have been documented and shown to occur in women as well as in men. While other countries have already extended their vaccination guidelines to include boys, in 2019 the French National Authority for Health validated implementation of HPV vaccination in the 2020 vaccination schedule. There is, however, a climate of distrust in regard to vaccination in France, and there have been few studies to date regarding the acceptability of HPV vaccination in boys in France.

Background: Eliminating family planning (FP) unmet need among HIV-infected individuals (PLHIV) is critical to elimination of mother-to-child HIV transmission. We assessed FP unmet need among PLHIV attending two clinics with differing models of FP services. Nsambya Home Care provided only FP information while Mulago HIV clinic provided information and contraceptives onsite.

Forty men who had their vasectomy reversed were psychoanalitically examined. The changes of mind were above all concerned with the results of new relationships, initially no (more) children, then (more) children. The stability of the relationship at the time of vasectomy had been wrongly evaluated which must subsequently influence any advice given.
