To update the efficacy and safety of different drugs for the treatment of patients with hyperphosphatemia in chronic kidney disease, we conducted a network meta-analysis of 22 therapies for the treatment of uncontrolled hyperphosphatemia in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). All randomized controlled trials on hyperphosphatemia published from January 2013 to November 2023 were searched from CNKI, VIP database, Wanfang database, PubMed, Scopus, and Cochrane databases. Meta-analysis was used to evaluate the serum phosphorus, calcium levels, total effective rate and adverse events of patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Background: Age-related changes in physiological parameters are crucial in understanding the health and performance of working dogs, particularly those in demanding roles such as military and law enforcement. However, limited research exists on how aging affects the hematological and biochemical health of these dogs.
Aim: This study aims to characterize age-related variations in hematological and biochemical parameters in working Belgian Shepherd dogs to provide insights that could inform health management strategies for these animals.

Serum biochemical indicators serve as vital proxies that reflect the physiological state and functions of different organs. The genetic parameters and molecular mechanisms underlying serum biochemical indicators of sheep () have not been well understood. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to identify the genetic architecture and genomic loci underlying ten serum biochemical indicators in sheep, including alanine transaminase, aspartate transferase, lactate dehydrogenase, cholesterol, glucose, phosphorus, calcium, creatinine, urea and total protein levels.

The choice of the calcium (Ca) source in pig diets and the addition of formic acid may affect the gastrointestinal inositol phosphate (InsP) degradation and thereby, phosphorus (P) digestibility in pigs. This study assessed the effects of different Ca sources (Ca carbonate, Ca formate), exogenous phytase, and chemical acidification on InsP degradation, nutrient digestion and retention, blood metabolites, and microbiota composition in growing pigs. In a randomized design, 8 ileal-cannulated barrows (24 kg initial BW) were fed 5 diets containing Ca formate or Ca carbonate as the only mineral Ca addition, with or without 1,500 FTU/kg of an exogenous hybrid 6-phytase.
