Background: In 2024, the Korean Ministry of Health and Welfare enforced a policy to increase the number of medical school students by 2,000 over the next 5 years, despite opposition from doctors. This study aims to predict the trend of excess or shortage of medical personnel in Korea due to the policy of increasing the number of medical school students by 2035.
Methods: Data from multiple sources, including the Ministry of Health and Welfare, National Health Insurance Corporation, and the Korean Medical Association, were used to estimate supply and demand.

Context: The aim of this practice evaluation was to assess weight trends during and after a nutritional intervention in cancer patients and survivors.
Methods: This retrospective study was conducted between January 2014 and October 2020 in adults with different cancer types managed at the Léon-Bérard Cancer Center, undergoing treatment or during post-treatment follow-up, with a BMI≥25kg/m and who had at least 3 consultations with a nutrition physician. Nutritional management focused on behavioral, metabolic and nutritional aspects.

Objective: In recent decades, many physicians have chosen to opt out of Medicare, allowing them to set their own pricing models for their patients. Characterization of Medicare opt-outs has not been thoroughly studied in any surgical specialty, including Neurosurgery. Our study characterizes the factors that may influence a neurosurgeon's decision to opt out of Medicare acceptance and contextualizes them both within the field and across various surgical specialties.

: For many years, advancements in hand joint replacement (JR) were relatively minor compared to those for large joints. However, the caution previously exercised due to high complication rates is gradually being replaced by the expanding use of JR therapies for small joints in the hand. Despite this progress, there is a lack of comprehensive data on the outcomes of hand JR and on the optimal infrastructure required to meet the growing demand for these therapies.

Before 1990, Chile showed fewer medical schools, six in total, increasing to 13 by 2000. From then on, there was an explosive increase, reaching 29 faculties or schools by 2024. Medical students increased from 1,816 in 2010 to 3,000 by 2024.
