Background: Informal caring is associated with mental health deterioration among young people and impacts their help-seeking ability. Social network can provide social support and mitigate the impact of informal care. However, young carers may avoid identification and withdraw from social networks.

Aims Of The Study: Interprofessional ward rounds are a cornerstone of patient-centred care for medical inpatients and offer opportunities to discuss and coordinate patient treatment and further management. We aimed to identify factors associated with lower satisfaction and efficiency of interprofessional ward rounds, as reported by physicians and nurses.
Methods: An anonymous Swiss nationwide online survey of physicians and nurses was conducted in 28 Swiss internal medicine inpatient departments between 9 August and 19 October 2023.

Introduction: Existing data on how history of trauma and adversity affects healthcare professionals is limited. This study sought to describe the prevalence of Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs) and Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) and their association with present-day workplace and wellbeing outcomes among a sample of healthcare teammates overall, as well as specifically among nurses. The paper also describes local trauma-informed care initiatives that supported study feasibility.

Background: Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) is an analytical technique increasingly applied in biological analysis. This study investigates the application of FTIR to identify early biochemical changes, particularly in lipid profiles, in individuals undergoing Roux-en-Y gastric bypass (RYGB).
Methods: An observational study involving patients from a university hospital's Bariatric and Metabolic Surgery Program, with evaluations performed before (T0) and two months after (T1) RYGB.
