The routes of the spread of cholera were analyzed in 273 patients and Vibrio carriers during the outbreak of cholera in a mountainous region of Daghestan during the period of July 18 to September 4, 1994. Cholera was found to spread mainly after funeral repasts and condolence visits accompanied by the dispensation of foodstuffs, transmission being realized through alimentary and contact routes. Under the conditions of the absence of the centralized water supply system in mountain villages and the contamination of water in open reservoirs it was found to be expedient to use, in addition to the recommended complex of antiepidemic measures, small automatic filtration units.

This study presents a rare case of three synchronous colon tumors with metastasis to the left inguinal lymph node, challenging the conventional understanding of the metastatic pathways and highlighting the exceptional nature of such occurrences. This highlights the importance of considering alternative atypical metastatic routes for the management of colon cancer. A literature search was performed to identify similar cases.

Background: Malaria remains a key contributor to mortality and morbidity across Africa, with the highest burden in children under 5. Insecticide-based vector control tools, which target the adult Anopheles mosquitoes, are the most efficacious tool in disease prevention. Due to the widespread use of these interventions, insecticide resistance to the most used classes of insecticides is now pervasive across Africa.

Carcinosarcoma (CS), also known as metaplastic breast carcinoma with mesenchymal differentiation, is one of the five distinct subtypes of metaplastic breast cancer. It is considered as a mixed, biphasic neoplasm consisting of a carcinomatous component combined with a malignant nonepithelial element of mesenchymal origin without an intermediate transition zone. Although cellular origin of this neoplasm remains controversial, most researchers declare that neoplastic cells derive from a cellular structure with potential biphasic differentiation.
