Digital radiography (DR) is replacing screen-film (SF) radiography for musculoskeletal examinations in our institution. After an iterative process of image quality improvement, our DR images are now preferred to SF images, and we have detailed our current optimized settings for the Fuji 9000 (Fuji Medical Systems, Tokyo, Japan). DR offers the advantages of improved contrast resolution, adjustable image contrast, the ability to reprocess the image, and the ease of transferring the image to an image management and communication system (IMAC).

Metastatic lateral pelvic lymph node (LPN) in rectal cancer has a significant clinical impact on the prognosis and treatment strategies. But there are still debates regarding prediction of lateral pelvic lymph node metastasis and its oncological impact. This review explores the evidence for predicting lateral pelvic lymph node metastasis and survival in locally advanced rectal cancer.

This report describes the longest case of a retained metallic intraorbital foreign body with no complications and development of delayed sensory exotropia following traumatic sclopetaria in childhood. A 9-year-old girl suffered a BB gun injury to the left eye, leading to chorioretinitis sclopetaria and loss of vision. The visual acuity was 20/800 with a relative afferent pupillary defect and choroidal rupture with subretinal hemorrhage that evolved to sclopetaria over time.

Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and biliary tract cancers (BTC) pose significant diagnostic and therapeutic challenges. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and multiphase computed tomography (CT) have been the preferred imaging modalities for diagnosis, staging, and surveillance of patients with these malignancies. The best clinical outcomes depend on the appropriate selection of treatment options from the tools available in neo-adjuvant therapy, surgical resection, locoregional therapy, liver transplantation, and adjuvant therapy.

By combining radiotherapy with immunotherapy, the synergistic effects of these modalities not only bolster antitumor efficacy but also exacerbate lung injury. Consequently, developing a model capable of accurately predicting radiotherapy- and immunotherapy-related pneumonitis in lung cancer patients is a pressing need.

We reported the pseudoprogression in an elderly patient with advanced gastric cancer after chimeric antigen receptor (CAR)-T cell therapy. The hepatic metastases enlarged 1 month after CAR-T cell infusion and then shrunk the next month as seen through computed tomography scanning. Based on a comprehensive evaluation that includes imaging, pathology, serum tumor markers, and clinical symptoms, we arrived at a diagnosis of pseudoprogression after CAR-T cell therapy, which has not been reported in previous studies.
