Gender and differences in self-disclosure following a frustrating event were investigated. The Emotional Self-Disclosure Scale assessed the extent to which 100 male college students and 100 female college students were willing to disclose their emotions. The frustrating stimulus presented was a tape of an infant crying, played at 85 dB for 10 min. Men exposed to the noxious stimulus were less willing to disclose than men who were not. All of the men were less willing than the women to disclose in either condition. Women in the two conditions showed no differences in disclosure. These findings are interpreted with respect to how disclosure is affected by the immediate environment and with respect to male-female differences.

Background: The ADI Accreditation Programme, launched in December 2020, aims to support all Alzheimer and dementia associations and other organizations, in improving care for people living with dementia. By providing a standards-based approach to knowledge and skills, ADI establishes benchmarks that program providers must adhere to. Successful completion of an evaluation allows carers, trainers & program providers to earn ADI Accreditation, indicating that they have reached the required global standard for their training and learning activities, including culturally appropriate context to improve care quality.

Treatment of distal radial fractures that include small anterior rim fragments can be difficult. We retrospectively reviewed 19 patients in whom an anterior rim plate with locking screws was used. After a median follow-up of 18 months (range 6-32; interquartile range (IQR) 14, 26), the median wrist flexion and extension arc was 70° (range 50-80; IQR 60, 70), the median grip strength was 80% of the contralateral side (range 52-104; IQR 77, 88), the median visual analogue scale score for pain was 0 (range 0-5; IQR 0, 1), the median disabilities of the arm, shoulder and hand score was 2 (range 0-59; IQR 0, 11) and the median modified Mayo wrist score was 80 (range 35-100; IQR 75, 85).

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of music tempo on heart rate (HR), HR variability (HRV), lactate levels, and aerobic capacity during walking exercise in male college students. Ten male college students randomly participated in three experiments using various music tempos on a treadmill device to prevent data contamination between measurements by allowing a 2-week interval. Walking exercise was performed at a moderate intensity of 60%-70% maximum HR for 30 min, with participants divided into three groups based on music tempo: exercise group with fast tempo music (ExF, 120-160 bpm), exercise group with slow tempo music (ExS, 60-70 bpm), and exercise group without music (Ex).

Establishing the causal links between biomarkers and cancer enhances understanding of risk factors and facilitates the discovery of therapeutic targets. To this end, we used Mendelian randomization (MR) and colocalization analysis to explore the causal relationship of blood and urinary biomarkers (BUBs) with urological cancers (UCs). First, we used a two-sample MR study to explore the causal relationship between 33 BUBs and 4 UCs, while we performed reverse Mendelian randomization.
