The effectiveness and safety of fluocinonide 0.05% in a cream base (FAPG cream: fatty acid propylene glycol) were evaluated in 105 patients with recalcitrant corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses that had failed to respond adequately to at least two weeks' previous treatment with one of 21 other topical corticosteroid preparations. At the end of the three weeks, 66 (71.0%) of the 93 patients who qualified for analysis showed excellent to moderate improvement with fluocinonide. Side effects were rare and of a minor nature. The general effectiveness of fluocinonide is indicated in this single-blind trail in which excellent or moderate results predominated in 8 of the 12 different diagnosis.

Porous carbons with large surface area (>3000 m/g) and heteroatom dopants have shown great promise as electrode materials for zinc ion hybrid capacitors. Centralized mesopores are effective to accelerate kinetics, and edge nitrogen can efficiently enhance pseudocapacitive capability. It is a great challenge to engineer centralized mesopores and edge nitrogen in large-surface-area porous carbons.

CO capture from the flue gas is a promising approach to mitigate global warming. However, regulating the carbon-based adsorbent in terms of textural and surface modification is still a challenge. To overcome this issue, the present study depicts the development of cost-effective and high-performance CO adsorbents derived from petroleum coke, an industrial by-product, using a two-step process involving thiourea modification and KOH activation.

In critically ill patients, compromised microcirculation causes tissue hypoxia, organ failure, and death. These pathophysiological processes occur particularly in patients with high illness severity, so reliable hypoxia biomarkers should reflect this in their occurrence. This secondary analysis of a prospective study categorized patients by their burden of organ dysfunction (BOD) using the cohort's median initial sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score of 8 as a cutoff.

Sprengel's Deformity (SD) is a rare condition of the shoulder girdle, appearing as the principal congenital anomaly of the shoulder in paediatric patients. The aim of this study is to document the combined experience of two paediatric orthopaedic departments in managing SD using the modified Green Procedure, with a specific emphasis on the clinical and functional outcomes reported by patients; Methods: from June 2010 to February 2023, 42 shoulders in 40 paediatric patients were surgically treated for SD at two paediatric orthopaedic departments. All patients were treated using the modified Green Procedure with or without clavicle osteotomy.

Background: Prostate cancer is highly prevalent in Spanish men. Although physical activity has benefits on several factors in prostate cancer survivors, this is diminished after medical oncology treatment. Cancer-related fatigue is one of the main barriers to physical activity, leading to a decrease in activity levels in these patients.
