Objective: Retroperitoneal fibrosis (RPF) is a rare condition marked by inflammation and fibrosis affecting the peritoneal and retroperitoneal soft tissues. In recent years, the identification of IgG4-related diseases has brought to light a significant association with fibrous disorders, including RPF, which were once considered independent. In this comprehensive cohort study, we performed a comparative analysis of the demographic, clinical, laboratory, histopathological, and therapeutic characteristics between patients with IgG4-related RPF and those with idiopathic retroperitoneal fibrosis (iRPF).

Background: Cost-utility analyses commonly use two primary methods to value productivity: the human capital approach (HCA) and the friction cost approach (FCA). Another less frequently used method is the willingness-to-pay (WTP) approach, which estimates the monetary value individuals assign to avoiding an illness. Statement Of Problem: Comprehensive data are needed on the performance of chemically activated, chairside hard reline materials when used with computer-aided design and computer-aided manufacturing (CAD-CAM) milled polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) denture bases and conventionally processed bases. This lack of data affects decisions regarding the chairside reline material to be used for improving the fit and retention of relined complete dentures.

Purpose: The purpose of this in vitro study was to evaluate and compare the shear bond strength (SBS) of 3 chemically activated, chairside hard reline materials on CAD-CAM milled and conventional heat-polymerized PMMA denture bases.
