Sensory experience during developmental critical periods has lifelong consequences for circuit function and behavior, but the molecular and cellular mechanisms through which experience causes these changes are not well understood. The antennal lobe houses synapses between olfactory sensory neurons (OSNs) and downstream projection neurons (PNs) in stereotyped glomeruli. Many glomeruli exhibit structural plasticity in response to early-life odor exposure, indicating a general sensitivity of the fly olfactory circuitry to early sensory experience.

Importance: Retrograde cricopharyngeus dysfunction (R-CPD) is an emerging disorder associated with disabling symptoms. The origin of R-CPD remains unknown.
Objective: To investigate the development of symptoms, diagnosis approach, and therapeutic outcomes of R-CPD in patients treated with in-office botulinum toxin injection (BTI) into the cricopharyngeus.

Purpose: To summarize the latest research on the epidemiology, pathogenesis, diagnosis, and treatment of multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C).
Recent Findings: The epidemiology of MIS-C has been dynamic since its initial description. The pathogenesis remains poorly understood.

Background: The prevalence of brain metastases (BM) in lung cancer patients is notably high and is associated with poor prognoses. The efficacy of standard treatment regimens in improving intracranial progression-free survival (IPFS) for lung cancer BM is markedly limited. While traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has been effective in enhancing the quality of life and prognosis of lung cancer patients, its efficacy in treating BM remains unreported.

Objective: Musculoskeletal symptoms are common among surgical staff and can have long-term implications on health and wellbeing. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the impact of anti-fatigue floor mat on the comfort level of surgical teams during head and neck surgeries lasting ≥ 3 h.
Methods: Over 4 months, we prospectively randomized 34 major (≥ 3 h) head and neck procedures to the use or not of an anti-fatigue floor mat.
