Background: Unilateral pulmonary artery discontinuity (UPAD) is a rare fetal abnormality, for which a prenatal ultrasonographic diagnosis remains challenging. We report a case of left pulmonary artery discontinuity in association with Taussig-Bing syndrome, which has rarely been reported in the literature thus far.
Case Presentation: A pregnant woman with a fetus with congenital heart disease (CHD) at 23 weeks gestation was referred to our center.

The clinical manifestation of intracranial mycotic aneurysms (ICMAs), which are rare but carry high risks of rupture and early mortality, remains poorly understood. We present a case of an ICMA that rapidly developed and ruptured after the diagnosis of meningitis caused by (), which rarely causes bacterial meningitis. A 54-year-old man presented with a headache that worsened on coughing, without altered consciousness or vomiting.

The accumulation of abnormal phosphorylated Tau protein (pTau) in neurons of the brain is a pathological hallmark of Alzheimer's disease (AD). PTau pathology also occurs in the retina of AD cases. Accordingly, questions arise whether retinal pTau can act as a potential seed for inducing cerebral pTau pathology and whether retinal pTau pathology causes degeneration of retinal neurons.

A case of chronic intoxication by 2,4-dinitrophenol (2,4-DNP) is reported in a 21-year-old bodybuilder, also known as an abuser of anabolic steroids, who died after ingesting 2 grams of this substance after 6 months of repeated consumption. The bodybuilder presented the triad of symptoms - tachycardia, tachypnoea, profuse sweating - from 6 months before his death, and was hospitalised for multiple organ failure 4 months before his death. Medical staff attributed this serious episode to his consumption of 2,4-DNP.
