Purpose: Different methods for quantifying joint-line obliquity (JLO) have been described, including joint-line obliquity angle (JLOA), Mikulicz joint-line angle (MJLA) and medial proximal tibial angle (MPTA). The goal of the present study was to quantify the variation of JLOA based on the position of the hip. The hypothesis of our study is that JLO is significantly influenced by the abduction/adduction of the limb, unlike MJLA.

Purpose: Kinematically aligned total knee arthroplasty (KA TKA), as a pure resurfacing procedure, is based on matching implant thickness with bone cut and kerf thickness, plus cartilage wear. However, the assumption of a consistent 2 mm femoral cartilage thickness remains unproven. This study aimed to systematically review the available literature concerning magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) assessment of femoral cartilage thickness in non-arthritic patients.

Background: Tibiofemoral components rotational congruency affects the total knee arthroplasty (TKA) success. The smart insert sensor (I-S) helps to establish tibial component rotation reciprocally to a fixed femoral rotation. We aimed (1) to validate the use of I-S as a possible tool to reach reproducible reciprocal femorotibial rotation (RftR) in TKA independently from anatomic landmarks, reducing outliers in combined and mismatched femorotibial rotation (CftR and MMftR, respectively) positioning and (2) to validate the "curve-on-curve" method for a specific type of asymmetrical tibial component.

Introduction: The present inquiry seeks to investigate whether the current regimens of QSEs (Quadriceps-Strengthening Exercises) aggravate the disease while mitigating symptoms.
Materials And Methods: A comparative study was conducted on 32 patients with medial compartment osteoarthritis of knees. While the neutral group of 16 patients was constituted of those with an anatomical-lateral-femoro-tibial-angle (aFTA) 176-180º, varus group comprised an equal number of patients with an aFTA >180º.

Objective: To investigate the short- and mid-term effectiveness of unicompartmental knee arthroplasty (UKA) for post-traumatic arthritis (PTA) of knee.
Methods: The clinical data of 30 patients with PTA of unilateral knee between March 2014 and September 2021 was retrospectively analyzed. There were 14 males and 16 females with an average of 64.
