Female sexual dysfunction is highly prevalent among postmenopausal females approaching 50%, with vulvovaginal atrophy (VVA) being a cardinal sign. For decades, hormone replacement therapy was the only solution to relieve symptoms associated with this atrophy. Traditional root canal therapy (RCT) effectively removes diseased or necrotic pulp tissue and replaces it with inorganic materials. Regenerative endodontics is an alternative to conventional RCT by using biologically based approaches to restore the pulp-dentin complex. This review explores emerging techniques, including autogenic and allogenic pulp transplantation, platelet-rich fibrin, human amniotic membrane scaffolds, specialized pro-resolving mediators, nanofibrous and bioceramic scaffolds, injectable hydrogels, dentin matrix proteins, and cell-homing strategies.

During the blood coagulation cascade, coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) is activated by thrombin to form activated factor VIII (FVIIIa). FVIIIa associates with platelet surfaces at the site of vascular damage to form an intrinsic tenase complex with activated factor IX. A working model for FVIII membrane binding involves the association of positively charged FVIII residues with negatively charged lipid headgroups and the burial of hydrophobic residues into the membrane interior.

The article presents the diagnosis and treatment of an imported case with severe malaria, and the effect of plasma exchange combined with continuous renal replacement therapy. Severe malaria is characterized by complex clinical symptoms and multiple complications, and plasma exchange combined with continuous renal replacement therapy has a satisfactory therapeutic efficacy for severe malaria.
