The first results of laser therapy in treatment of condylomata acuminata of male reproductive organs are reported. Between November 1991 and December 1993 in Department of Reproduction, Institute of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Karol Marcinkowski University School of Medical Sciences, Poznań in nine patients with condylomatous changes of reproductive organs CO2-laser therapy under colposcopic control was done. In 7 of them the healing was achieved. In two patients second laser therapy was done. All patients are still under control in Department of Reproduction and there was no recurrence diagnosed.

Basal cell carcinoma (BCC) is the most common non-melanoma type of skin cancer described in humans that originates in the epidermis, more specifically in the basal layer and its appendages. Environmental, genetic and phenotypic factors contribute to the onset of this cancer; however, damage caused by ultraviolet radiation from sunlight is the primary risk factor. The emergence of this neoplasm in unexposed body areas, such as the soles, groin, armpit, scrotum or vulva is very rare.

Medicinal herbs, such as the ant nest plant (), are promising for the management of diabetes mellitus-associated infertility. The aim of this study was to evaluate the biological activity of the ant nest plant and its capacity to mitigate the adverse effects of alloxan-induced diabetes on testicular morphology, epididymal function, and sperm quality in male rats. The tuber of the ant nest plant was extracted using methanol and then subjected to phytochemical screenings.
