Background: Blood stream infection is a medical emergency associated with high morbidity and mortality. Prompt identification of bloodstream infection-causing microorganisms directly from positive blood culture will significantly enhance patient care by reducing the turnaround time of pathogen recognition.
Methods: A total of 256 freshly flagged positive blood culture bottles were subjected to Gram staining.

Background And Objective: Prompt pathogen identification of blood stream infections is essential to provide appropriate antibiotic treatment. Therefore, the objective of this prospective single centre study was to establish an inexpensive, fast and accurate protocol for bacterial species identification with SDS protein-extraction directly from BacT/Alert® blood culture (BC) bottles by VitekMS®.
Results: Correct species identification was obtained for 198/266 (74.
The ability to assess and eliminate the matrix effect in bioanalytical methods is critical for reproducibility, but sample preparation procedures necessary to address the matrix effect for microbiological methods could be significantly different if viable pathogens are required for downstream microbiological response analysis. A pure bacterial culture remains essential for virulence, antibiotic susceptibility, and phenotypic response studies in order to facilitate the understanding and treatment of caused diseases. Bacterial culture involves the collection, inoculation, incubation, growth, and detection of viable organisms while avoiding contamination throughout the entire process.

Purification of bacteria from human blood samples is essential for rapid identification of pathogens by molecular methods, enabling faster and more accurate diagnosis of bloodstream infection than conventional gold standard blood culture methods. The inertial microfluidic method has been broadly studied to isolate biological cells of interest in various biomedical applications due to its label-free and high-throughput advantages. However, because of the bacteria's tininess, which ranges from 0.

The granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) is a hematopoietic cytokine that has important clinical applications for treating neutropenia. Nartograstim is a recombinant variant of human G-CSF. Nartograstim has been produced in Escherichia coli as inclusion bodies (IB) and presents higher stability and biological activity than the wild type of human G-CSF because of its mutations.
