We propose a method allowing the automatic determination of equilibrium constants and binding site concentrations for an immune serum composed of a series of homogeneous antibody subpopulations. It is then possible to decompose the 'Scatchard plot' in its straight components corresponding to each antibody subpopulation.

Achieving microecological balance is a complex environmental challenge. This is because the equilibrium of microecological systems necessitates both the eradication of harmful microorganisms and preservation of the beneficial ones. Conventional materials predominantly target the elimination of pathogenic microorganisms and often neglect the protection of advantageous microbial species.

Photochemical processes are often thought to be temperature-independent. However, photochemical polymerization involves photochemical processes such as light-driven radical generation coupled with thermal-driven reactions such as monomer propagation. The apparent activation energy of propagation, ( ), of a series of three monomers, methyl acrylate (MA), methyl methacrylate (MMA), and styrene (STY), are deduced from Arrhenius analysis of conventional and RAFT photopolymerization of these monomers across a range of corresponding temperatures.

Efficiently obtaining atomic-scale thermodynamic parameters characterizing crystallization from solution is key to developing the modeling strategies needed in the quest for digital design strategies for industrial crystallization processes. Based on the thermodynamics of crystal nucleation in confined solutions, we develop a simulation framework to efficiently estimate the solubility and surface tension of organic crystals in solution from a few unbiased molecular dynamics simulations at a reference temperature. We then show that such a result can be extended with minimal computational overhead to capture the solubility curve.

Network measures have proven very successful in identifying structural patterns in complex systems (, a living cell, a neural network, the Internet). How such measures can be applied to understand the rational and experimental design of chemical reaction networks (CRNs) is unknown. Here, we develop a procedure to model CRNs as a mathematical graph on which network measures and a random graph analysis can be applied.

Integrin α5β1, also known as the fibronectin receptor, is a key mediator of angiogenesis and its dysregulation is associated with tumor proliferation, progression, and metastasis. Despite numerous efforts, α5β1-targeting therapeutics have been unsuccessful in large part due to efficacy and off-target effects.
