Histogenetic Radial Models as Aids to Understanding Complex Brain Structures: The Amygdalar Radial Model as a Recent Example.

Front Neuroanat

November 2020

Department of Human Anatomy, School of Medicine and IMIB-Arrixaca Institute, University of Murcia, Murcia, Spain.

The radial dimension expands during central nervous system development after the proliferative neuroepithelium is molecularly patterned. The process is associated with neurogenesis, radial glia scaffolding, and migration of immature neurons into the developing mantle stratum. , defined as a delimited neural polyclone whose cells share the same molecular profile, are molded during these processes, and usually become roughly stratified into periventricular, intermediate, and superficial (subpial) strata wherein neuronal cell types may differ and be distributed in various patterns.

Activators generated electron transfer for atom transfer radical polymerization for immunosensing.

Biosens Bioelectron

November 2010

State Key Laboratory of Bioelectronics, School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Southeast University, Nanjing 210096, PR China.

A novel and ultrasensitive immunosensing strategy based on activators generated electron transfer for atom transfer radical polymerization (AGET ATRP) in combination with flow injection chemiluminescent (CL) and electrochemical detection was proposed. The initiator-conjugated polyclone PSA antibodies (Ab2*), prepared by coupling of N-hydroxysuccinmidyl bromoisobutyrate (initiator) with polyclone PSA antibodies (Ab2), were immobilized on the substrate surface through sandwiched immunoreactions to trigger polymerization. AGET ATRP is used for local accumulation of glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) monomers.

Objective: Successful allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT) requires reconstitution normal T-cell immunity. Measurement of T-cell receptor excision circles (TRECs) and T-cell receptor beta (TCRBV) CDR3 repertoire is a means of quantifying recent thymic T-cell production and reflecting antigen-specific T-cell clones proliferation.

Methods: We used real-time quantitative PCR to detect TRECs from 43 Chinese patients who underwent three kind of allo-HSCT without T-cell depletion.

Cellular patterning of the vertebrate embryo.

Trends Genet

December 2002

Unité de Biologie moléculaire du Développement, Institut Pasteur, 25, rue du Docteur Roux, 75724 Cédex 15, Paris, France.

Recent studies show that cell dispersal is a widespread phenomenon in the development of early vertebrate embryos. These cell movements coincide with major decisions for the spatial organization of the embryo, and they parallel genetic patterning events. For example, in the central nervous system, cell dispersal is first mainly anterior-posterior and subsequently dorsal-ventral.

The pannier (pnr) gene encodes a GATA transcription factor and acts in several developmental processes in Drosophila, including embryonic dorsal closure, specification of cardiac cells and bristle determination. We show that pnr is expressed in the mediodorsal parts of thoracic and abdominal segments of embryos, larvae and adult flies. Its activity confers cells with specific adhesion properties that make them immiscible with non-expressing cells.
