Background: Down syndrome (DS) is a genetic condition that involves the deregulation of immune function and is characterized by a proinflammatory phenotype leading to an impaired response to infections. Periodontitis is a highly prevalent chronic inflammatory disease. It has been shown that adults and teenagers with DS are more susceptible to this disease, but a similar correlation in DS children remains elusive.

Nivolumab has been linked to occurrences of uveitis, yet the clinical features associated with these episodes remain unclear. This study aimed to explore the clinical characteristics of uveitis induced by nivolumab and to offer guidance for its prevention, diagnosis, and treatment. We conducted a retrospective analysis by gathering case reports related to nivolumab-induced uveitis from both Chinese and English databases, covering the period from inception until September 30, 2024.

Lymphocytic esophagitis (LE) is an uncommon subtype of esophagitis defined by persistent esophageal inflammation characterized by a high count of intraepithelial lymphocytes with scarce granulocytes. Although LE can present with atypical features such as chest pain, its clinical presentation can mimic that of gastroesophageal reflux disease or eosinophilic esophagitis, highlighting the importance of biopsy in diagnosing LE. Studies are still limited in understanding the pathophysiology behind this disease warranting further research.

Introduction: Solitary fibrous tumor (SFT) is a fibroblastic neoplasm of uncertain biological origin that is rare in the tongue.
Case Report: A 42-year-old woman presented with a painless, submucosal nodule in the tongue. Based on the clinical hypothesis of benign mesenchymal neoplasia, the lesion was excised, and the specimen was submitted for histopathological analysis.
