Objective: To analyze the contributions of the Public Health Nursing Specialization Course (1988-1992) of Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in improving the expertise and professional status of its graduates.
Method: Historical and social study in the history of nursing and expertise. The sources included 20 registration forms, enrollment documentation of graduates, and three course documents collected in the Memory Center of Escola de Enfermagem da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, combined with Lattes/CNPq curricula and analyzed through Eliot Freidson's Sociology of Professions.

Background: The COVID-19 pandemic triggered a worldwide socio-sanitary crisis, continuing to impact societies worldwide. With many school systems shifted to online education, the current study presents a unique opportunity to investigate relevant phenomena related to serious health issues during the schooling and later in life, cyberbullying and bullying. This study began just before the COVID-19 lockdown was declared and resumed 5 months later allowing to explore 2 main objectives: first, to explore whether cyberbullying increased during the lockdown, and second, to analyze transitions from to time of bullying and cyberbullying.

Background: In the face of food shortages and precariousness, school meals are an effective means of encouraging pupils to attend and stay in school, and of combating nutritional deficiencies. Unfortunately, there are bottlenecks to be identified and resolved.

Sensitivity of bird species to environmental metal pollution varies but there is currently no general framework to predict species-specific sensitivity. Such information would be valuable from a conservation point-of-view. Calcium (Ca) has antagonistic effects on metal toxicity and studies with some common model species show that low dietary and circulating calcium (Ca) levels indicate higher sensitivity to harmful effects of toxic metals.
