The pathomorphological and pathophysiological reactions of the spontaneous and artificially induced skincycle in psoriasis capitis-lesions were clinically and histologically investigated. 1. After the epilation in the psoriasis capitis-lesion a healing of the psoriatic efflorescence was observed. 2. Histologically a close correlation between the induced anagen and the regression of the psoriasis existed: As a cause of this phenomenon an interaction between the dermis, the follicular proliferation and the epidermal proliferation of psoriasis is assumed.

Background: Sodium is stored in skin and may trigger or perpetuate autoimmune diseases including psoriasis. One previous study found skin sodium was elevated in a small group of patients with severe psoriasis compared to healthy controls, but the relationship between sodium intake and psoriasis within a population has not been investigated.
Objectives: To identify whether dietary sodium intake is associated with psoriasis and whether there are subgroups of individuals more likely to have salt-sensitive psoriasis.

Background: Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a common comorbidity in patients with psoriasis (PsO) that leads to significant disease burden. Biologic therapies targeting the interleukin (IL)-23/IL-17 axis have been widely used for PsO, but their comparative effectiveness in preventing PsA remains unclear.
Objective: The study objective was to compare the occurrence of developing incidental PsA among PsO patients treated with interleukin-23 inhibitors (IL23is) or interleukin-17 inhibitors (IL17is).

Hip involvement is a common condition in about one-third of patients with axial spondyloarthritis (axSpA). We assessed the incidence of possible factors that predispose patients to limited flexion after total hip arthroplasty (THA) for the treatment of axSpA. We retrospectively reviewed 516 patients with axSpA (759 hips) who underwent THA.

Background: Family history (FH) of psoriasis has been implicated as a risk factor for developing psoriasis. However, whether FH also carries information on clinical presentation and treatment response to biological agents in patients with psoriasis remains unclear.
Objective: This prospective, multicenter observational study aimed to analyze the clinical presentation and efficacy differences between patients with psoriasis with and without a FH.

Background: Polygenic risk score (PRS) prediction is widely used to assess the risk of diagnosis and progression of many diseases. Routinely, the weights of individual SNPs are estimated by the linear regression model that assumes independent and linear contribution of each SNP to the phenotype. However, for complex multifactorial diseases such as Alzheimer's disease, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer, and others, association between individual SNPs and disease could be non-linear due to epistatic interactions.
