Antinuclear antibodies (ANAs) are critical immunological markers commonly associated with various connective tissue diseases (CTDs). However, these autoantibodies are also detectable in healthy individuals, patients with non-rheumatic autoimmune diseases, those with viral infections, and subjects using specific medications (such as procainamide, hydralazine, and minocycline) that can lead to drug-induced ANA elevation. The standard method for ANA detection is indirect immunofluorescence, a process that requires precision and thoroughness as it assesses both titer and fluorescence patterns.

Background: The direct antiglobulin test (DAT) detects red blood cell (RBC) sensitivity to complement or IgG . The clinical disorders of hemolytic disease of the newborn, hemolytic transfusion reaction, and autoimmune and drug-induced hemolytic anemia are some examples of those that can cause coating of RBCs with antibodies or complement autoimmune hemolytic anemia (AIHA). Rarely, DAT is positive in nonimmune-mediated hemolytic anemias as well.

Background And Aim: Discriminating between idiosyncratic drug-induced liver injury (DILI) and autoimmune hepatitis (AIH) is critical yet challenging. We aim to develop and validate a machine learning (ML)-based model to aid in this differentiation.
Methods: This multicenter cohort study utilised a development set from Beijing Friendship Hospital, with retrospective and prospective validation sets from 10 tertiary hospitals across various regions of China spanning January 2009 to May 2023.
