Studying the impact of agricultural digitalization (ADT) on the carbon emission intensity of planting industry (PCI) can help promote sustainable development and realize the "dual carbon" goal. Based on the panel data of 31 provinces in China from 2010 to 2020, this study uses the entropy weight method and emission coefficient method to measure the development level of ADT and PCI, respectively. By using the regression analysis method, as well as the robustness test, heterogeneity test, and spatial spillover effect and threshold tests, the impact of ADT on PCI was examined.

Deep reinforcement learning identifies personalized intermittent androgen deprivation therapy for prostate cancer.

Brief Bioinform

January 2024

Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science and the Department of Pharmacology and Pharmacy, LKS Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR, China.

The evolution of drug resistance leads to treatment failure and tumor progression. Intermittent androgen deprivation therapy (IADT) helps responsive cancer cells compete with resistant cancer cells in intratumoral competition. However, conventional IADT is population-based, ignoring the heterogeneity of patients and cancer.

Objective: To compare the effects of different treatment strategies for metastatic hormone-sensitive prostate cancer (mHSPC) using a network meta-analysis.

Methods: English databases (PubMed, Embase, and medRxiv) and Chinese databases (Wanfang and CNKI) were searched for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) on the treatment of mHSPC from inception to June 1, 2021. The overall survival (OS) and failure-free survival (FFS) reported by the included studies were extracted from each study for network meta-analysis.

[FeFe] hydrogenases are highly active catalysts for the interconversion of molecular hydrogen with protons and electrons. Here, we use a combination of isotopic labeling, Fe nuclear resonance vibrational spectroscopy (NRVS), and density functional theory (DFT) calculations to observe and characterize the vibrational modes involving motion of the 2-azapropane-1,3-dithiolate (ADT) ligand bridging the two iron sites in the [2Fe] subcluster. A -CH- ADT labeling in the synthetic diiron precursor of [2Fe] produced isotope effects observed throughout the NRVS spectrum.

Background & Aims: Cancer-related fatigue (CRF) is a prevalent and persistent symptom from androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) in prostate cancer. The Mediterranean-style dietary pattern (MED-diet) offers a plausible mechanism to mitigate CRF through reducing inflammation and improving body composition. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of a 12-week MED-diet, compared to usual care, on CRF and quality of life in men with prostate cancer treated with ADT.
