Reduction of food fat content often comes at the cost of sensory appeal. Given that odours can enhance various fat-related sensory characteristics, their use as fat substitutes seems promising. This cross-over study investigated whether sensory characteristics of a low-fat product (dairy milk) can be enhanced by the addition of a fat-related aroma (cream) and whether this influences subsequent eating behaviour within an ecologically valid scenario.

Preloading of alcohol and/or drugs before an event has been examined in the research literature for the past two decades. Despite the considerable interest and scrutiny on the behaviour, there are limited, if any, attempts to conceptualise a theoretical understanding of why people preload before an event. Here we propose a Theory of Preloading (TOP)-a general cognitive-behavioural motivational model for alcohol and drug preloading.

: The current review aims to present the beneficial effects of SGLT2 inhibitors (dapagliflozin and empagliflozin) on several hemodynamic parameters such as blood pressure, filtration pressure at the level of the glomerular capillaries, and the improvement of the preload and afterload of heart muscle. In order to stop chronic kidney disease (CKD) from progressing, SGLT2 inhibitors have become an important disease-modifying treatment. : Recent clinical studies have shown the success of these drugs in treating heart failure, reducing the risk of cardiovascular events, hospitalization, and mortality.

Purpose: This study evaluated the influence of different agents such as blood, artificial saliva, and normal saline on preload force of dental implants with bio-high-performance poly-ether-ether-ketone (Bio-HPP) abutments to determine its effect on screw loosening.
Methods: Forty (N = 40) Grade 5 titanium dental implant analog (GM Implant Analog; Neodent, Straumann) with Bio-HPP poly ether-ether ketone (PEEK) abutment and titanium screw was used in the study. The samples were embedded in acrylic split mold.

Background And Objective: Right ventricular failure increases short-term mortality in the setting of acute myocardial infarction, cardiogenic shock, advanced left-sided heart failure and pulmonary arterial hypertension. Percutaneous and surgically implanted right ventricular assist devices (RVAD) have been investigated in different clinical settings. The use of the ProtekDuo™ is currently a promising approach due to its features such as groin-free approach leading to early mobilisation, easy percutaneous deployment, compatibility with different pumps and oxygenators, and adaptability to different configurations.
