39 Patients out of 51 who have been operated on because of osteochondrosis dissecans of the knee-joint had a follow-up after a mean observation period of 8 years. In 17 patients the removal of the dissecate was the only operative procedure, in 11 patients a mouse-bed smoothing was simultaneously performed. The excision of the dissecate out of the mouse-bed with a simultaneous smoothing of the margin was performed in 11 cases. Postoperatively 28 patients were absolutely free of symptoms and the weight-bearing was not restricted. The follow-up revealed low-grade symptoms dependent on weight-bearing in 7 patients. A connection between the modifications of the operative procedure and the result of the operation could not be established. Signs of an arthrosis, already preoperatively detectable, and excessively spread osteonecrotic foci had an unfavourable influence on the result.

We investigated the timely initiation of antenatal care among Brazilian adolescents to support the national discussion on the gestational age limit for legal abortion. Using data from the Live Births Information System (SINASC) 2020-2022, we correlated the timely antenatal care (first quarter of pregnancy) with the adolescent's age, region, ethnicity/skin color, and schooling level; 11,607 annual births result from vulnerable rape. The implementation of the Transsexualizing Process (TP) / Gender-affirming Surgeries (GAS) in the Unified Health System (SUS) was the result of social struggles by the LGBT community for sexual rights, the construction of gender identity, and bodily autonomy. The scope of this article is to analyze the advances and challenges of TP/GAS in the SUS, through a qualitative narrative literature review. In June 2022, searches were conducted in the Google Scholar, SciELO, and VHL databases to select scientific articles in Portuguese published in the last 10 years, excluding articles in foreign languages and other types of academic work such as reviews, undergraduate theses, dissertations, and/or graduate theses.
