Objective: Thyroid uptake test plays an important role in diagnosis, treatment planning and radioiodine dose determination in patients with hyperthyroidism. The aim of this study was to compare the % uptake values calculated with gamma camera and uptake probe after diagnostic 131I application in hyperthyroid patients.

Materials And Methods: In this study, % uptake values were measured using a thyroid uptake probe and gamma camera in 32 patients who underwent thyroid radioiodine uptake measurement in our Nuclear Medicine center.

In preparation for 90 Y radioembolization for hepatic malignancies, hepatic angiography is performed with intra-arterial delivery of 99m Tc-macroaggregated albumin (MAA), known as premapping. This initial procedure allows for evaluation of standard/variant hepatic arterial anatomy using MAA as a surrogate marker for the delivery of 90 Y to visualize the likely distribution of 90 Y. Premapping allows for the assessment of at-risk extrahepatic targets and for the quantification of hepatopulmonary shunting.

Bisphosphonates are therapeutic agents that have been used for almost five decades in the treatment of various bone diseases, such as osteoporosis, Paget disease and prevention of osseous complications in cancer patients. In nuclear medicine, simple bisphosphonates such as Tc-radiolabelled oxidronate and medronate remain first-line bone scintigraphic imaging agents for both oncology and non-oncology indications. In line with the growing interest in theranostic molecules, bifunctional bisphosphonates bearing a chelating moiety capable of complexing a variety of radiometals were designed.

The role of low-dose computed tomography (LDCT) in surgical planning can be assessed based on the correlation among bone density (BD/HU), radiographic values, and the histopathological appearance of hyperplastic overgrowth in mandibular condyles (hemimandibular hyperplasia/osteochondroma). The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between LDCT indices of bone-density measurements in surgical planning and histopathological specimens. The patients incuded in this study underwent detailed radiological evaluation as preparation for further clinical procedures.

Objectives: The aim of our study was to describe the scintigraphic patterns of 99m Tc-pertechnetate uptake in patients who were referred to the department of nuclear medicine for evaluating and diagnosing ectopic gastric mucosa in foregut and midgut duplication cysts.

Materials And Methods: This hospital-based, retrospective cum prospective research spans a period of 8 years from April 2014 to January 2022. Previous hospital medical records were analyzed and subsequently, a database was prepared which included the age, sex, clinical indication of a 99m Tc-pertechnetate scan, and the planar and SPECT-computed tomography (CT) imaging findings.
