Despite the increasing interest in radical-based fluoroalkylation techniques, the organofluorine compounds bearing the partially fluorinated hexafluoroisopropyl group remain extremely scarce due to the lack of appropriate reagents. Herein we report an unprecedented photoelectrocatalytic method for the C-H hexafluoroisopropylation of indoles and tryptophan peptides, utilizing the readily available hexafluoro-2-propanol (HFIP) as the fluoroalkylation reagent. In this process, HFIP is converted into hexafluoroisopropyl radicals, enabling fluoroalkylation reactions.

: To explore the clinical value of miR-193a-5p in neonatal acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) and its role in ARDS cell model . : RT-qPCR was utilized to detect miR-193a-5p level. Correlation analysis was implemented to assess the correlation between miR-193a-5p and clinical indicators (IL-6, IL-1β, TNF-α, LUS).

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) remains a leading cause of mortality in low-resource settings and poses a diagnostic challenge in human immunodeficiency virus (HIV)-negative populations because of limitations in traditional diagnostic methods such as sputum smear microscopy (SSM) and sputum Xpert Ultra. There is a lack of effective, non-invasive diagnostic options for TB diagnosis in HIV-negative populations. This scoping review explores the potential of urinary lipoarabinomannan (ULAM) as a point-of-care diagnostic tool for Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) in HIV-negative individuals.

Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains a major cause of mortality in the UK, prompting the need for improved risk predictive models for primary prevention. Machine learning (ML) models utilizing electronic health records (EHRs) offer potential enhancements over traditional risk scores like QRISK3 and ASCVD. To systematically evaluate and compare the efficacy of ML models against conventional CVD risk prediction algorithms using EHR data for medium to long-term (5-10 years) CVD risk prediction.

Purpose: This paper aims to develop a three-dimensional (3D) Alzheimer's disease (AD) prediction method, thereby bettering current predictive methods, which struggle to fully harness the potential of structural magnetic resonance imaging (sMRI) data.
Methods: Traditional convolutional neural networks encounter pressing difficulties in accurately focusing on the AD lesion structure. To address this issue, a 3D decoupling, self-attention network for AD prediction is proposed.
