The clinical features of traumatic subarachnoid hemorrhages studied in 300 patients showed their dependence on the age of the injured. The frequency and pronounced character of impaired consciousness the incidence of combination of subarachnoid hemorrhage with fractures of the cranial bones, and the severity of brain contusion grow with the age of injured. The meningeal syndrome is most manifest in the middle-aged, mode-rate in children, and least manifest in the elderly. A complex of therapeutic measures should be carried out with due account for the character of the craniocerebral trauma and the age of the injured.

Introduction: Coagulopathy following traumatic injury impairs stable blood clot formation and exacerbates mortality from hemorrhage. Understanding how these alterations impact blood clot stability is critical to improving resuscitation. Furthermore, the incorporation of machine learning algorithms to assess clinical markers, coagulation assays and biochemical assays allows us to define the contributions of these factors to mortality.

Study Objective: Nontraumatic, incidental findings on computed tomography (CT) may be discovered after blunt abdominal trauma in children; however, the rate and importance of these findings are not well known. The objective of this study was to determine the prevalence and types of incidental CT findings among injured children undergoing abdominal/pelvic CT.
Methods: This was a planned secondary analysis of a multicenter prospective cohort study of children (<18 years) who underwent abdominal/pelvic CT after blunt trauma.

Background: Up to 20-40% of survivors of any traumatic injury develop post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or depression after injury. Firearm injury survivors may be at even higher risk for adverse outcomes. We aimed to characterize PTSD and depression risk, pain symptoms, and ongoing functional limitations in firearm injury survivors early after hospital discharge.
