[Diagnosis of teratodermoid formations of the mediastinum].

Under analysis were 35 patients with terato-dermoid formations of the mediastinum. The symptoms and their diagnosis are described. The author came to a conclusion that terato-dermoid formations being usually localized in the anterior mediastinum close to the heart and large vessels often caused disorders in the functional state of the cardio-vascular system. Investigation of the phasic structure of the left ventricle activity in patients with terato-dermoid tumors of the mediastinum showed that these patients had a hypodynamic syndrome requiring corrigent therapy prior to operation.
