A retrospective cohort study utilized the TriNetX database and recruited pediatric autoimmune patients diagnosed between January 1st 2004 and December 31st 2022. Tumor necrosis factor alpha inhibitors (TNFi) are biological drugs used worldwide to treat various autoimmune disorders. Paradoxically, TNF- antagonists can also induce autoimmune diseases being systemic vasculitis, systemic lupus erythematosus, and psoriasis, the most common. We present a 22-year-old woman with ulcerative colitis (UC) who was started on adalimumab 40 mg subcutaneously every 2 weeks.

Psoriasis is an immune-mediated chronic inflammatory skin disease and chronic kidney disease is one of the common comorbidities of psoriasis. Ixekizumab, a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody, has been approved for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis in recent years. However, ixekizumab has not been studied in a population of patients with renal insufficiency.
