Background: Liver cirrhosis complicated by portal vein thrombosis (PVT) is a fatal complication with no specific manifestations but often misdiagnosed, it crucially increases the mortality worldwide. This study aimed to identify risk factors and establish a predictive model for diagnosis of venous thrombosis clinical by routine blood tests and endoscopic characteristics.
Methods: Patients from Gansu Provincial Hospital from October 2019 to December 2023 were enrolled.

Background: External jugular vein (EJV) is used to insert tunneled dialysis catheter (TDC) in patients with no AVF and exhausted right internal jugular veins (IJV). There is scarce data on TDC insertion in EJV by nephrologists with fluoroscopy guidance.
Materials And Methods: This was a prospective observational study that included hemodialysis patients with exhausted right IJV access who underwent EJV TDC insertion, and excluded occluded ipsilateral brachiocephalic vein or superior vena cava, EJV < 5 mm diameter, or patients with existing EJV TDC.

Patients with intracranial aneurysms (IA) undergoing endovascular treatment face varying risks and benefits when tirofiban is used for thromboprophylaxis during surgery. Currently, there is a lack of high-level evidence summarizing this information. This study aims to conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis to evaluate the efficacy and safety of tirofiban during endovascular treatment of IA.

In this article, our goal is to offer an introduction and overview of the diagnostic approach to inherited platelet function defects (iPFDs) for clinicians and laboratory personnel who are beginning to engage in the field. We describe the most commonly used laboratory methods and propose a diagnostic four-step approach, wherein each stage requires a higher level of expertise and more specialized methods. It should be noted that our proposed approach differs from the ISTH Guidance on this topic in some points.

Aneurysms of the middle cerebral artery (MCA) account for up to 40% of all unruptured intracranial aneurysms [1-3] and 14% to 20% of ruptured ones.
