The results of bilateral lateral rectus recession as the first procedure for the correction of exodeviations were reviewed. Thirty-six charts met the criteria used in this study. There was an overall success rate of 83% by judging satisfactory surgical results as no more than a 10 diopter esodeviation or exodeviation in the primary position at distance. The success rate for patients with an exodeviation of 40 diopters or less was 93% using our criteria. For exodeviations 45 diopters and greater the success rate was 50%. The factor of basic or divergence excess exodeviations did not seem significant in its correlation to satisfactory surgical results.

Low fertility in cows leads to early removal from herds. Since reproductive traits are complex and have low heritability, genetic analysis can aid in improving reproduction. This study identified key genes linked to fertility by conducting genome- and transcriptome-wide association studies, RNA-seq analysis, meta-analysis, weighted gene co-expression network analysis, and functional enrichment analysis.

Aims: To evaluate the association between transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (TEER) and outcomes in patients with significant mitral regurgitation (MR) following acute myocardial infarction (MI), focusing on the aetiology of acute post-MI MR in high-risk surgical patients.
Methods And Results: The International Registry of MitraClip in Acute Mitral Regurgitation following Acute Myocardial Infarction (IREMMI) includes 187 patients with severe MR post-MI managed with TEER. Of these, 176 were included in the analysis, 23 (13%) patients had acute papillary muscle rupture (PMR) and 153 (87%) acute secondary MR.

Background: Antithrombotic therapy (AT) after left atrial appendage occlusion (LAAO) in patients with non-valvular atrial fibrillation (NVAF) has the purpose of preventing device related thrombosis (DRT), avoiding embolic events; nevertheless, the correct antithrombotic regimen after LAAO is still under debate.
Aims: Aim of this substudy of the observational LOGIC registry was to describe the efficacy and safety of a light antithrombotic regimen, comprising single antiplatelet therapy or none, compared to a standard antithrombotic regimen, after a successful LAAO.
Methods: Patients with NVAF that underwent LAAO were previously included in the LOGIC registry.

Background: The process of kidney transplantation remains the optimal treatment for end-stage renal disease, offering improved quality of life and increased survival rates compared to long-term dialysis. However, despite advances in surgical techniques, immunosuppression regimens, and post-operative care, there are still significant challenges in predicting the organ's status and long-term outcomes of transplantation. Among the many factors that influence graft survival, the quality of the donated organ plays a fundamental role.
