In recent years, the field of wearable sensors has undergone significant evolution, emerging as a pivotal topic of research due to the capacity of such sensors to gather physiological data during various human activities. Transitioning from basic fitness trackers, these sensors are continuously being improved, with the ultimate objective to make compact, sophisticated, highly integrated, and adaptable multi-functional devices that seamlessly connect to clothing or the body, and continuously monitor bodily signals without impeding the wearer's comfort or well-being. Potentiometric sensors, leveraging a range of different solid contact materials, have emerged as a preferred choice for wearable chemical or biological sensors.

A set of carrageenans produced in the potassium form and with chemical structures varying from pure iota-carrageenans to nearly pure kappa-carrageenans is submitted to ultrasonication to reduce their molecular masses Mw while maintaining a constant chemical structure and a polydispersity index around 2. The kinetics of ultrasound-induced chain scission are found to be slower for polysaccharides richer in kappa-carrageenan disaccharide units. From the elasticity of samples directly gelled in a rheometer at 1 /% in 0.

Extensive uses of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) in different industries result in exposure to these nanoparticle imperatives in our daily lives. Resveratrol is found in many plants as a natural compound. The present study aimed to estimate the renal toxic effects of Ag NPs in adult male albino rats and the underlying relevant mechanisms while studying the possible role of resveratrol in ameliorating these effects.

Introduction: Response to fertilization with biochar in contaminated soils for forage crops lacks comprehensive understanding. This study delves into the role of biochar in enhancing soil pH and phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) availability for ryegrass () in clay and silt loam metal-contaminated soils.
Methods: Two pot experiments were conducted using switchgrass-derived biochar (SGB) and poultry litter-derived biochar (PLB) with varying biochar application rates: one without plants and the other with ryegrass.
