Background: Human milk electrolytes are known biomarkers of stages of lactation in the first weeks after birth. However, methods for measuring milk electrolytes are available only in laboratory or expert settings. Patients with benzene-induced leukemia undergo a continuous transformation from myelosuppression to malignant proliferation. However, the underlying mechanisms in this process remain unknown. Our previous studies have shown that the pathways involved in self-renewal capacity of bone marrow (BM) cells in Mll-Af9 mice exposed to benzene for life are significantly activated after severe blood toxicity.

This was hypothesized to depend on their prolonged presence in the vasculature, leading to cytotoxicity. Imaging of NETs (histones, neutrophil elastase, extracellular DNA) with intravital microscopy in blood vessels of mouse livers in a pathogen-replicative-free environment (endotoxemia) led to detection of NET proteins attached to the endothelium for months despite the early disappearance of extracellular DNA.

Objective: To report outcomes from routine clinical practice of liver transplantation (LT) following normothermic liver machine perfusion (NLMP) and compare to LT after static cold storage (SCS).
Background: NLMP is emerging as a clinical routine in LT as has recently received renewed attention, however outcomes outside of clinical trials are lacking.
Methods: All adult LT between February 2018 and January 2023 were included.
