Lymphocytes and sera in mice with melanoma B16 and in intact mice render a cytotoxic effect on melanoma B16 cells in vitro. Lymphocytes in intact mice possess the maximum cytotoxicity for tumor cells, taken at the 20th day since the tumor inoculation, while the cytotoxic effect of mice melanoma B16 lymphocytes during this period proves to be markedly reduced. The kinetics of immune indices during the melanoma B16 growth in mice is characterized by rise and fall in the lymphocyte and sera cytotoxicity.

Purpose: Melanoma brain metastases (MBMs) are a common, lethal complication of metastatic melanoma. Despite improvements in treatments, subsets of MBM patients experience rapid decline, and few prognostic biomarkers have been identified. An improved understanding of the molecular features specifically associated with MBM overall survival (OS) and intracranial progression free survival (PFS) could facilitate the development of more effective clinical management strategies.

Background: Desmoplastic melanoma (DM) is a rare subtype, accounting for less than 5% of primary cutaneous invasive melanomas. DM often arises in chronically sun-exposed skin, in older individuals. While the incidence of cutaneous melanoma has increased globally, trends specific to DM are less documented and studies on survival outcomes for DM are inconsistent.

New tributyltin(IV) complexes containing the carboxylate ligands 3-(4-methyl-2-oxoquinolin-1(2H)-yl)propanoic acid () and 2-(4-methyl-2-oxoquinolin-1(2H)-yl)acetic acid () have been synthesized. Their structures have been determined by elemental microanalysis, FT-IR and multinuclear NMR (H, C and Sn) spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction study. A solution state NMR analysis reveals a four-coordinated tributyltin(IV) complex in non-polar solvents, while an X-Ray crystallographic analysis confirms a five-coordinated trigonal-bipyramidal geometry around the tin atom due to the formation of 1D chains.

: Pentacyclic triterpenoids are increasingly studied as anticancer agents with many advantages compared to synthetic chemotherapeutics. The aim of this study was to prepare liposomal and nanostructured lipid formulations including a standardized extract of silver birch () outer bark (TTs) and to evaluate their potential as anticancer agents in vitro, using Melanoma B16-F10 and Walker carcinoma cells. : Appropriate solvents were selected for efficient TTs extraction, and original recipes were used to obtain Pegylated liposomes and nanolipid complexes with entrapped TTs, comparative to pure standards (betulinic acid and doxorubicin) in similar conditions.

PD-1 inhibitors are known to be effective in melanoma; however, a considerable proportion of patients fail to respond to therapy, necessitating the identification of predictive markers. We examined the predictive value of tumor cell HLA class I and II expression and immune cell infiltration in melanoma patients treated with PD-1 inhibitors. Pretreatment surgical samples from 40 stage IV melanoma patients were studied immunohistochemically for melanoma cell expression of HLA class I molecules (using four antibody clones with different specificities), HLA-II, and immune cell infiltration (using a panel of 10 markers).
