Atypical lipomatous tumors/well-differentiated liposarcomas (ALT/WDLPS) are low-grade, slow-growing, and locally aggressive tumors. We investigated clinical outcomes and recurrence factors for ALT/WDLPS of the extremities. This is retrospective study across three institutions which included patients who underwent surgery for ALT/WDLPS from 2001 to 2019.

Introduction: Metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) has been linked to pancreatic diseases, but evidence from population-based studies with liver histology is lacking.
Aims And Methods: In this population-based cohort including all Swedish adults (n = 8563) with biopsy-proven MASLD, we aimed to investigate incidences of pancreatic diseases compared with matched reference individuals from the general population (n = 38,858) and full siblings (n = 6696). Using Cox proportional hazard models, we calculated multivariable adjusted hazard ratios (aHRs) and confidence intervals (CIs).

They are classified into four types, with Type I (sliding) being the most prevalent. We report a case of a patient diagnosed with a large Type IV paraesophageal hernia.

Background: Upper gastrointestinal bleeding (UGIB) is a common and potentially fatal medical emergency. This study aimed to investigate the frequency, causes, outcomes, and efficacy of endoscopy in the treatment of UGIB at King Fahad Central Hospital in Jazan, Saudi Arabia.
Methods: Between January 2017 and December 2023, a retrospective study was performed including all hospitalized patients with UGIB.
