Background: Painful left bundle branch block (LBBB) syndrome is an uncommon disease that is defined as intermittent episodes of angina associated with simultaneous LBBB changes on an electrocardiogram (ECG) with the absence of flow-limiting coronary artery disease or ischemia on functional testing. Vasovagal syncope (VVS) is the most common cause of syncope and can be provoked by sublingual nitroglycerin (NTG). Herein, we report a case of painful LBBB syndrome complicated with VVS, which was misdiagnosed as acute coronary syndrome and cardiogenic shock.

[Analysis of 41 cases of myocardial infarction in children with coronary artery lesion after Kawasaki disease].

To analyze the clinical characteristics,diagnosis and treatment of pediatric myocardial infarction (MI) patients with coronary artery lesions (CAL) after Kawasaki disease (KD). Clinical data including baseline characteristics, KD and CAL information, clinical symptoms at MI onset, electrocardiogram (ECG) and imaging findings, MI treatment, and clinical outcomes of 41 MI patients with CAL after KD admitted to the Children's Hospital of Fudan University from January 2017 to August 2024 were analyzed retrospectively. (1) Demographic characteristics: a total of 41 patients were included (36 males and 5 females).

Background: Lack of motivation and behavioral abnormalities are the hallmarks of postpartum depression (PPD). Severe uterine contractions during labor are pain triggers for psychiatric disorders, including PPD in women during the puerperium. Creating biomarkers to monitor PPD may help in its early detection and treatment.

Atrial cardiomyopathy (AC) has been defined by the European Heart Rhythm Association as "Any complex of structural, architectural, contractile, or electrophysiologic changes in the atria with the potential to produce clinically relevant manifestations".1 The left atrium (LA) plays a key role in maintaining normal cardiac function; in fact atrial dysfunction has emerged as an essential determinant of outcomes in different clinical scenarios, such as valvular diseases, heart failure (HF), coronary artery disease (CAD) and atrial fibrillation (AF). A comprehensive evaluation, both anatomical and functional, is routinely performed in cardiac imaging laboratories.
