Objectives: Iron deficiency anaemia and inadequate compliance with iron-folic acid (IFA) supplementation among pregnant and postpartum women pose substantial public health challenges in Nepal. Hence, this study aimed to determine IFA compliance and identify associated factors among postpartum mothers in Bharatpur Metropolitan City, Chitwan, Nepal.
Design: An analytical cross-sectional design was employed.
Background: Dendrocalamus latiflorus is widely distributed in southern China and has high ornamental and edible value. The growth dynamics and the associations between growth and the distribution of nutrients or chemical components across various parts and stages of shoot development remain inadequately understood. In this study, tender shoots of D.

Proteins with chemically regulatable phase separation are of great interest in the fields of biomolecular condensates and synthetic biology. Intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) are the dominating building blocks of biomolecular condensates which often lack orthogonality and small-molecule regulation desired to create synthetic biomolecular condensates or membraneless organelles (MLOs). Here, we discover a well-folded globular protein, lipoate-protein ligase A (LplA) from E.

Calcium channel blockers (CCBs) for long-term (L) and transient (T) calcium channels (LTCC and TTCC) on cardiomyocytes have been suggested to manage iron-induced cardiomyopathy in transfusion-dependent thalassemia patients. However, the results of clinical trials on the effectiveness of CCBs have been conflicting. Here, we systematically reviewed previous studies to investigate the potential factors that could act as therapeutic modifiers and explain these discrepancies.

This case report describes a 41-year-old woman with no significant medical history and a normal body mass index (BMI), who presented with ureterohydronephrosis due to a 5.5mm x 9mm calculus composed primarily of calcite (CaCO) at the ureterovesical junction. The kidney stone, associated with cystitis and perirenal fat infiltration, was spontaneously expelled and subsequently analyzed.
