Calcified amorphous tumor (CAT) is a rare, mostly incidental tumor-like cardiac lesion of unknown histogenesis. Current imaging modalities do not differentiate between CAT and other masses. As it can be a source for embolization, surgical excision of CAT is mandatory.

In the first case, the pathology manifested with lesions of the middle ear and nose. In the second case, in addition to manifestations from the nose and the ear, there was a lesion of the larynx.

ANCA-associated vasculitides (AAV) are small-vessel necrotizing vasculitides, with no or few immune deposits. They are usually associated with the presence of ANCA antibodies (AntiNeutrophil Cytoplasmic Antibody), targeted either against proteinase 3 (PR3-ANCA) or myeloperoxidase (MPO-ANCA).
