15 children who were treated surgically for necrotizing entero-colitis (N.E.C.) are presented and the indications for surgery and prognosis are discussed. The indications for surgery include perforation, peritonitis and persistent intestinal obstruction. It is doubtful whether laparotomy is indicated in those children with rapid deterioration and simple peritoneal drainage in very sick infants as described. The mortality rate of operated children is around 40%, which is in accord with published literature. The possibility of intestinal stenosis developing and producing intestinal obstruction is stressed.

Despite aTSA being the mainstay of treatment for patients with glenohumeral arthritis in the absence of rotator cuff insufficiency, there has been an upward trend of rTSA utilization in the elderly due to concerns about rotator cuff integrity, regardless of deformity. The purpose of this study is to evaluate outcomes including pain, function, range of motion, satisfaction, and complications in patients 80 years or older following primary anatomic and reverse total shoulder arthroplasty for osteoarthritis without full thickness rotator cuff tears.

Purpose Of Review: Neuroendocrine tumours (NET) are rare entities arising from hormone producing cells in the gastroentero-pancreatic (GEP) tract. Surgery is the most common treatment of GEP-NETs.
Recent Findings: Improvements in surgical techniques allow for more locally advanced and metastasised GEP-NETs to be resected.
