Northumbria University, Newcastle upon Tyne, UK.
Background: Self-care is a priority outcome for children and young people with neurodisabilities, their parents and therapists, but there is little evidence about paediatric therapy interventions for children's self-care in the United Kingdom.
Methods: Children with neurodisabilities, parents, therapists and teachers participated in this mixed methods study. Data were collected by interviews and observations of routine therapy appointments.

Background: Completeness of follow-up is a crucial aspect of data quality in cohort studies and clinical trials. This study aims to provide an overview of different methods to calculate follow-up completeness. Additionally, the performance of these methods is tested in several scenarios using simulated datasets and a use-case, with the aim of guiding researchers in selecting the most appropriate method for their data.

High-density lipoproteins (HDLs) are heterogeneous particles with pleiotropic functions including anti-inflammatory and anti-infectious effects. In clinical studies, lower HDL-associated cholesterol (HDL-C) concentration has been associated with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection, severity and mortality. A reduction in the number of HDL particles, particularly small ones has been observed with alterations in their protein and lipid composition impairing their functions.

Department of Cardiovascular Medicine, Graduate School of Medicine, Kyoto University, Kyoto, Japan.
Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a major health problem worldwide. There are scarce data on the recent temporal trends of patients with VTE after the widespread use of direct oral anticoagulants (DOACs).
Methods And Results: In a Japanese nationwide hospital administrative database, we identified 20,217 patients with VTE from 2017 to 2023, and evaluated their temporal trends in management strategies and clinical outcomes.
