A term neonate (TN) of 2 days, delivered by lower segment caesarean section in a private nursing home of a rural area, was referred to the outpatient department of paediatric surgery with a chief concern of large abdominal swelling and mild respiratory distress. The TN was diagnosed with giant omphalocele and a right diaphragmatic hernia.Intraoperatively, the omphalocele sac was found to contain liver, stomach, spleen and small intestine, with the latter herniating through a right diaphragmatic defect.

Sodium-glucose co-transporter type-2 (SGLT2) inhibitors have been identified to have a crucial hepatoprotective role in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2DM) and metabolic-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD). Thus, we aimed to assess the effect of SGLT2 inhibitors on hepatic steatosis in patients with T2DM and MASLD added to the standard of care (SOC) treatment. This study aimed to describe the ultrasonographic appearance of the liver, spleen, and kidneys in 35 healthy Santa Inês breed sheep. The spleen was located caudal to the last rib and extended to the 8th intercostal space (ICS), while the splenic vein was predominantly visible between the 11th and 10th ICS, located between the 12th and 9th ICS. The liver was visualized from the 12th to the 7th ICS, with the portal vein exhibiting a mean diameter of 15.

Purpose To develop deep learning (DL) radiopathomics models based on contrast-enhanced MRI and pathologic imaging to predict vessels encapsulating tumor clusters (VETC) and survival in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Materials and Methods In this retrospective, multicenter study, 578 patients with HCC (mean age [±SD], 59 years ± 10; 442 male, 136 female) were divided into the training ( = 317), internal ( = 137), and external ( = 124) test sets. DL radiomics and pathomics models were developed to predict VETC using gadoxetic acid-enhanced MR and pathologic images.

Objective: The study aimed to investigate the diagnostic value of F-AlF-NOTA-Pentixafor PET/CT in subtyping primary aldosteronism (PA).
Methods: This study enrolled 88 patients with PA or nonfunctional adenoma (NFA) for F-Pentixafor PET/CT scan. Of these, 20 patients underwent adrenal venous sampling (AVS), and 65 underwent adrenalectomy and postoperative follow-up.
