The paper deals with the preliminary results of a randomized study on the efficacy of health resort and sanatorium treatment of patients who underwent surgery for stomach tumors. Out of the total number of the patients who had applied for the treatment and had been examined by local oncologists, 35.4% proved to have recurrences and metastases, while the treatment was contraindicated in 25.6% of cases. It is recommended that practising oncologists should consult specialized oncological establishments in each particular case of application for health resort or sanatorium treatment.

Many transplant programs worldwide are likely to impose vaccine mandates for pediatric solid organ transplant candidates; some already do. The irrational use of antimicrobials has led to the emergence of resistance, impacting not only pathogenic bacteria but also commensal bacteria. Resistance against colistin, a last-resort antibiotic, mediated by globally disseminated plasmid-borne mobile colistin resistance () genes, has raised significant global concerns. This cross-sectional study aimed to investigate the antimicrobial resistance patterns of colistin-resistant () and mobilised colistin resistance ( 1-5) genes from broiler meat.

Hypervirulent Klebsiella pneumoniae (hvKP) poses an alarming threat in clinical settings and global public health owing to its high pathogenicity, epidemic success and rapid development of drug resistance, especially the emergence of carbapenem-resistant lineages (CR-hvKP). With the decline of the "last resort" antibiotic class and the decreasing efficacy of first-line antibiotics, innovative alternative therapeutics are urgently needed. Capsule, an essential virulence determinant, is a major cause of the enhanced pathogenicity of hvKP and represents an attractive drug target to prevent the devastating clinical outcomes caused by hvKP infection.
