The characteristics of laboratory parameters of inactivated whole influenza virus vaccine, obtained by the purification of allantoic virus cultures on macroporous glass, are presented. The vaccine is characterized by small reactogenicity and safety, which allows it to be used in both adolescents and adults. Seroconversions to hemagglutinin have been found in 80--95% of individuals vaccinated once during the test vaccination by the preparation containing various strains of influenza A/H3N2/virus. Post-vaccination antibody rise has been investigated in the nasal secretion of vaccinated individuals.

Emerging variants of SARS-CoV-2 pose great technological and regulatory challenges to vaccine manufacturing, especially in downstream processing. To address this dilemma, the development of broad-spectrum affinity chromatography for the purification of wild-type SARS-CoV-2 and its variants is crucial. We propose a comprehensive strategy to achieve this goal via the identification of high-affinity peptides by affinity selection of phage display and next-generation sequencing (NGS) and the evaluation of chromatographic performance.

Berries are a valuable source of numerous bioactive compounds, and they have an interesting organoleptic profile. Unfortunately, their low storage life determines the need for their preservation. Among the various methods used in this regard, it was decided to use the High Temperature Short Time (HTST) (90 °C/15 s) and Ultra-High Temperature (UHT) (130 °C/5 s) methods to preserve the produced fruit nectar blends (strawberry-blackcurrant and strawberry-chokeberry).

To investigate physiological function of α-synuclein is important for understanding its pathophysiological mechanism in synucleinopathies including Parkinson's disease. Employing knockout mice, we found that Snac/α-synuclein deletion induced aberrant projection of olfactory sensory neurons and hyposmia. We identified 9 axon guidance associated differentially expressed proteins using iTRAQ based Liquid Chromatograph Mass Spectrometer.

The data in this work provides the effect of aging temperature on manganese oxide allotropes prepared by hydrothermal method in the presence of boron dopant. The synthesized samples were labeled as B/MnO -100, B/MnO -150, and B/MnO -180 corresponding to the hydrothermal temperature at 100, 150, and 180 °C, respectively. X-ray diffraction (XRD) and inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) methods were conducted to clarify the crystalline structure, as well as the amount of potassium, manganese, and boron elements in the three synthesized samples.

To combat with emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants of concern (VOCs), we report the identification of a set of unique HWK-motif peptide ligands for the receptor-binding domain (RBD) of the SARS-CoV-2 spike (S) protein from a phage-displayed peptide library. These HWK-motif peptides exhibited nanomolar affinity for RBD. Among them, the peptide, HWKAVNWLKPWT (SP-HWK), had not only the highest affinities for RBD and trimer S protein, but also broad-spectrum affinities for RBDs from VOCs.
