Elimination of stubborn organic micropollutants from water is crucial for bioaccumulation prevention and ecosystem protection. Cold plasma activation technology is a clean, sustainable, and highly effective approach to the degradation of micropollutants and pathogens in contaminated water. In this study, we focus on understanding the processes of simultaneous degradation of multiple micropollutants (8 types at maximum) in flowing water by the recently developed microbubble-enhanced cold plasma activation (MB-CPA) technology.

A large amount of purified water is used in conventional hemodialysis (HD) for treating end-stage kidney disease (ESKD). To minimize the water demand and waste generation, the regeneration of dialysis solution is considered the most efficient control strategy. With the rapid development of science and technology, the discharge of industrial wastewater, especially dye wastewater, has caused great harm to the ecological environment. In response to the pollution caused by cationic organic dyes in industrial wastewater, this study employed free radical polymerization to prepare a new hydrogel adsorbent, PAA-PA-CMC, which exhibits both reusability and a large adsorption capacity. Phytic acid (PA) and carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) were introduced into the acrylic acid-based polymer network using N, N '-methylene-bisacrylamide (MBA) and glycidyl methacrylate (GMA) as cross-linking agents.

In conventional methods for telomerase activity assay, the obtained telomerase sample contains a large amount of impurity, which seriously affect the accuracy of the assay. Herein, we propose a light-triggered nucleic acid separation strategy to realize high fidelity Telomerase activity assay (Lit-Telo). In the light-triggered nucleic acid separation system, a 5' terminal biotinylated and photo-cleavable (PC) linker-functionalized telomerase substrate probe (Bio-PCTS) is designed.
