We report a 60-year-old man with humidifier lung showing diffusely distributed centrilobular micronodules and branching opacities on chest computed tomography (CT). Fever and dyspnea occurred 2 months after using an ultrasonic humidifier. KL-6 and SP-D were within normal ranges.

Invasive pulmonary aspergillosis (IPA) and invasive aspergillosis (IA) are two examples of the broad clinical spectrum of infection. It mainly affects severely immunocompromised hosts, while immunocompetent people can sometimes be affected, especially those receiving treatment in the intensive care unit (ICU) for emergency cases with few instances of chronic cases. The risk factors in ICU patients for aspergillosis include intubated patients receiving hot and humidified air, viral infections like covid, and influenza, and diseases like diabetes, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, etc.

Introduction: The problem of detecting legionella after a case of legionellosis from the source of environmental contamination has been known since a long time ago. Legionella is a bacterium present in various natural and artificial habitats and especially in surface fresh waters. It is found in greater concentration in warm waters, at temperatures between 20 °C and 42 °C.

Hypersensitivity pneumonitis is an immune-mediated interstitial lung disease that presents with respiratory symptoms, with or without systemic symptoms, following exposure to an identified or unidentified external factor. It can be caused by extrinsic factors including household items such as ultrasonic humidifiers.We present an intriguing case of a previously healthy 50-year-old man who displayed recurrent episodes of progressive dyspnoea and fever after repeated exposure to his household ultrasonic humidifier.

Anaplasmosis, caused by the tick-borne bacterium , is an emerging infectious disease with a broad spectrum of clinical manifestations. Here, we present a case report of a 66-year-old Caucasian woman residing in Connecticut who exhibited severe anaplasmosis with multi-organ involvement. The patient, with a medical history of rheumatoid arthritis and hypothyroidism, presented with confusion, lethargy, fever, myalgia, generalized weakness, and poor appetite in May 2023.
